Our Story

Children of Christ humble beginnings started in 1989 with Christ Little People Care Center in the city of Pleasantville, New jersey. The name was later changed to Children of Christ Christian Academy in 1998 when the addition of the new school which accommodate students from kindergarten to six grade  was accredited by “the Association of Christian School international” (ACSI).  With small classes settings, qualified Christian teachers, and a loving Christian environment, CCCA’s students excelled in all areas of their academic studies scoring in the top rating scales as outstanding students on their NJ standardized prep test.  The school quickly grew from about 30 students to over 200 students as word of mouth from parents got out creating a huge waiting list and putting a strain on the tiny school for additional space. The facility we moved in was later discovered that it needed huge amount of work that started at $75,000. The funds were unavailable at the time and not being able to find qualified facility to accommodate the large student body, and with limited time and pressure from officials; CCCA Board decided to close until a later date when a larger facility could be located, or when the LORD permits.

Over the years, Children of Christ has not lost sight of its vision and mission even though the ministry has gone through transitions.  With the each transitions came many trials and tribulations that were meant to discourage and or destroy COC mission.  God protected and show His grace, love, favor and unrelentless faithfulness.

We believe that with great purpose comes great responsibility therefore preparation is essential which lead to studies at Region University from 2009 to 2013. In 2014 the ministry was relocated and reestablishing in the city of Aberdeen with the humble beginning of Children of Christ Learning Center with 3 enrolled students; reawaking God’s vision for Children of Christ.  Here He would do a “new thing” (Isa.43:19). Those early days we looked to God for everything, learning to trust and to obey His voice and the leading of the Holy Spirit. We didn’t know what the future had in store for Children of Christ, but we knew that God had a plan and a purpose. And we had to totally trust God and the process knowing that His plans are always good.

It’s been over ten years since the establishment of the learning center.  Children of Christ has gone through growth and has developed into a well-established global ministry through the leading of the Holy Spirit and realizing its mission and vision for a better tomorrow.
